Asteroids for the Win

One thing The Man remembers from growing up is when his dad worked in gas station, and The Man would visit him and play the arcade game Asteroids.

Asteroids was his dad's favorite game.

Needless to say, when the opportunity arose for us to buy the arcade game Asteroids from some neighbors, just a week before heading down to St. G to visit our dads for Father's Day, The Man jumped on the opportunity to purchase it for his dad.

Needless to say, getting that thing in the truck was no small feat.

Securing it was no small feat.

Getting it out again was no small feat.

But with a lot of grunting, 7 months of working out at a gym, and a dolly, the game now sits proudly in Papa Mike's TV room.

The sentiment and memories were not lost on Mike.

He now looks forward to "building up the strength in his wrists" while playing.

And the grand kids look forward to beating the top scores when we visit.

Boating in St. G

Boating is a new hobby that we're picking up as a family.  This year we decided to head down to St. George for a belated Father's Day trip to visit both of our dads and to spend some time on the lakes there as a family.

The weather was hot (100+) and the water was perfect.

Sun burns galore.

Everyone tried something new, which I'm super proud of.  Gone are the timid days where they were afraid of everything.

Sean is working to pass The Man up in skill level.

The Man continues to amaze me.

Jayme is becoming quite the skilled boat driver.

It was perfect.

Every road trip needs hoards of junk food.

Our first lake was Quail Creek:
