After a long red eye flight through the night, we landed in Florida in the early, pre-sunrise hours of the east coast and navigated our way through the car rental, and through Walmart for food (which is always harder than you think it should be. What's up with that, Walmart?), and a stop at McD's for breakfast where we crashed on the benches at our table... we finally hit our condo up for an early check in so we could nap before hitting the park.
And nap we did. Even if just for an hour.
We were exhausted as we made our way to the Animal Kingdom, and Tayler, whether through pure exhaustion or car sickness, or both, had her moment of sickness and threw up profusely there on the Disney World parking lot, but we finally made it.
Disney World.
We hit the first line, which promised to be the longest of the day, for Avatar, where The Man commenced to start the day off by getting into a fight.
Just kidding.
Sort of.
While we were standing in the already ridiculously long line, a single gentleman came and stood in the middle of us.
Obviously trying to cut into the line, and obviously not realizing that he had cut into one single group.
So I said something.
Hey, you can't get in line here, this is our family.
So he obliged... and moved to just behind us.
Again, I said something.
Hey, you can't cut this line. We've all been waiting our turn, you need to go to the back.
To which he became obstinate and said he had to do no such thing.
The Man joined the argument.
The lady behind us, who was now being cut in front of, joined the argument.
The Man refused to leave his new place in line, saying he had to do no such thing.
I left and headed to back of the line where I knew there were several Disney staff directing the end of the line flow.
I let the poor college girl in charge know what was happening.
She obviously didn't want to deal with it, but came with me anyway, followed by her entire crew of ten staff members.
It was quite the seen when I arrived back up in line to find The Man and the line-butting gentleman yelling at each other. When they saw me arriving with a crowd of Disney staff following me, The Man stood by me, and the line-cutter stepped aside.
The Circus told me that the line-cutter man had shoulder shoved The Man.
The Man told me he had thought, for a brief second, that getting kicked out of Disney World might be worth the punch he was wanting to throw, but he resisted.
We watched as the line-cutter argued with the staff member, telling her had no idea there was even a line, or that he had cut into the middle of it.
The staff asked The Man if he wanted security called?
Yes.
You have to stand here and wait, even if the line moves.
No.
So the guy was let go to ruin other visitor's experiences.
But we never saw him again.
And The Man didn't get kicked out, so all in all it was a good day.
When Casidee asks The Man to "hold her glasses":
The obligatory picture of Cali on the Kali Rapids ride:
The giant bats in the walk through zoo area were pretty incredible:
Half way through the day the lack of sleep from the plane ride began to really catch up with Cali. We begin a series of pictures where she starts falling asleep at Disney World... everywhere:
And I mean Cali fell asleep everywhere. Even in the middle of the walking path where we sat down to eat our dinner:
And again on the bench while we cleaned up our dinner:
And again at the exit of the Everest ride (that she didn't want to go on, so she waited for us... and slept):
We made it through the night show:
And then hit the grocery store on the way back to the condo to restock food for the next day, then promptly fell into a hard earned sleep.
